Using a direct integration with Make.com allows you to automate SMS notifications during or after calls, customize message content, and choose exactly which number sends the message.
This gives you full flexibility to:
Send appointment confirmations
Notify your team about new bookings
Send internal alerts after call outcomes
Deliver custom follow-ups to leads
How It Works
When a call is completed in Awaz (Digital Influencers), Make.com can automatically trigger a scenario.
From there, you can:
Retrieve full call details
Filter based on call outcomes
Send an SMS using Twilio or Telnyx
Customize the message content dynamically
Step-by-Step Setup in Make.com
Step 1: Add the Trigger Module
Start by creating a new scenario in Make.com.
Select the “Watch Calls” – Digital Influencers module as your trigger.
This module fires every time a call is logged on the platform.
If you haven’t connected your account yet:
Step 2: Add “Get Call Details” Module
Next, connect the Get Call Details module.
In this step, map the Call ID from the Watch Calls trigger.
This allows you to retrieve detailed call information, including:
Step 3: Connect Your SMS Provider (Twilio or Telnyx)
💡 Tip: Before connecting the Twilio/Telnyx “Create a Message” module, confirm the number you’ll use for “Send Message From” is SMS-capable. In Twilio, your purchased numbers list shows each number’s capabilities (e.g., SMS/Voice), so you can quickly spot if a number is voice-only and won’t send texts. For Telnyx, make sure you’re using a number with the SMS feature enabled in your portal.
Now, add your SMS provider module.
You can use either:
Twilio
Telnyx
When connecting:
For Twilio, you’ll need your SID and Auth Token
For Telnyx, you’ll need your API Key
For this example, we’ll use Twilio — but the setup process is nearly identical for Telnyx.
Configuring the “Create a Message” Module
Once Twilio is selected, choose the Create a Message module.
You will see four important fields:
1️⃣ Send Message From
This is where you specify the phone number that will send the SMS.
It must be a number connected to your Twilio (or Telnyx) account.
2️⃣ To
This is the recipient’s phone number.
You can:
Manually enter a number
Map a variable (for example, the client’s phone number from the call data)
3️⃣ Message Body
Here, you can either:
Use a predefined Twilio template
Or create a fully custom message
If you choose to create a custom message, a Body field will appear.
4️⃣ Body
This is where you define your SMS content.
You can:
Write custom text
Insert mapped variables (like name, date, outcome)
Combine static text with dynamic call data
For example:
“Hi {{Name}}, your appointment has been successfully scheduled for {{Date}}.”
Make.com allows you to dynamically insert any call variable into the message.
Finalizing Your Scenario
After configuring all fields:
Click Save
Run a test to confirm everything is working
Activate your scenario
Your final scenario should look similar to:
Watch Calls → Get Call Details → Twilio (Create a Message)
Optional: Adding Filters & Advanced Logic
Between modules, you can add:
Filters (e.g., only send SMS if appointment was scheduled)
Conditional branching
Additional modules (Slack, Email, CRM updates)
This allows you to fully customize your workflow without writing any code.
Example Use Case
Let’s say a call ends with an appointment being scheduled.
You can configure your scenario to:
✔ Send a confirmation SMS to the client
✔ Send an internal SMS notification to your team
✔ Trigger additional automation in your CRM
All automatically, immediately after the call ends.
Quick Tips
Always test your scenario before activating it
Make sure your Twilio/Telnyx number is SMS-enabled
Use filters to avoid sending unnecessary messages
Keep SMS messages short and clear
