Customizing AI Agent Voice for Optimal Performance

Tuning your AI agent’s voice settings ensures clear, engaging, and human-like interactions. Awaz.ai provides a range of adjustments, allowing you to refine how your AI agents sound and respond to users.

Modify voice tone, speed, and volume for different conversational styles.
Enhance responsiveness and interruption sensitivity to improve engagement.
Enable back-channeling for a more natural conversational flow.

Access the Voice Settings Panel

To begin configuring your AI agent’s voice:

🔹 Navigate to Agent Settings and select the AI agent you want to modify.
🔹 On the Settings tab of the agent, access the adjustable parameters.


Adjust Key Voice Parameters

Awaz.ai provides six main voice customization settings:

🎙️ Tone of Voice (Calm ↔ Emotional)

Modify how expressive the AI agent sounds.

  • Lower settings: More neutral and professional.

  • Higher settings: More dynamic and expressive.

⚡ Voice Speed (Slow ↔ Fast)

Adjust how quickly the AI agent speaks.

  • Slower speeds: Best for clarity in formal conversations.

  • Faster speeds: Suitable for casual or engaging interactions.

🔊 Voice Volume (Low ↔ Loud)

Control the AI agent’s loudness level.

  • Lower volume: Softer and more reserved tone.

  • Higher volume: Stronger presence in conversations.

⚡ Responsiveness (Slow ↔ Fast)

Determines how quickly the AI agent processes and replies.

  • Slower responsiveness: Allows for longer pauses.

  • Faster responsiveness: Ensures quicker conversations.

🔄 Interruption Sensitivity (Low ↔ High)

Controls how well the AI agent adapts to interruptions from the user.

  • Low: AI waits for the user to finish speaking before responding.

  • High: AI can handle interruptions and adjust accordingly.

🗣️ Enable Back-Channeling

✔ Activating this feature allows the AI agent to use affirmative sounds (e.g., "uh-huh" or "yeah") to indicate active listening.

💡 Tip: For customer service or sales calls, a more engaging tone and responsiveness can improve interactions.


Set Additional Call Behavior Options

End Call After Silence

  • Configure the duration of silence before an AI agent automatically ends a call.

  • Minimum value: 10 seconds.

Boosted Keywords

  • Add customized keywords that bias the transcriber model, ensuring specific terms (e.g., brand names, street names, or industry-specific terms) are recognized correctly.

Save and Test Your Voice Settings

After making adjustments:

✔ Click Save Changes to apply updates.
✔ Use the "Test Your Agent" feature to check how the voice settings sound in real-time.
Refine and adjust settings based on user feedback and test results.
