Fine-Tune Your AI’s Voice for Effective Communication

In Awaz.ai, you can adjust the tone, speaking speed, and volume of your AI agents to match your business needs. Whether your AI handles customer support, sales, or appointment scheduling, setting the right tone is key to engagement and professionalism.

Modify the AI’s emotional tone (calm, neutral, or expressive).
Adjust speaking speed to match natural conversation flow.
Control responsiveness for real-time engagement.
Refine AI voice style using Freestyle Prompting for specific instructions.

This guide walks you through how to configure these settings to create an AI agent that sounds professional, approachable, and aligned with your brand.


Step 1: Open the Agent’s Audio Settings

To access the voice settings panel, follow these steps:

  1. Log into Awaz.ai and navigate to the Agents section.

  2. Select an agent you want to modify.

  3. Click on "Edit", then go to the Settings tab.

  4. Locate the Voice Settings panel on the right-hand side to adjust tone, pace, and volume.

Step 2: Adjust Tone, Speed, and Volume

Within the Voice Settings panel, you can modify:

Tone of Voice – Adjust between Calm → Expressive
Speaking Speed – Modify from Slow → Fast
Voice Volume – Set the loudness level
Responsiveness – Control how fast the AI processes speech
Interruption Sensitivity – Adjust how the AI handles user interruptions

Step 3: Refining AI Speaking Style Using Freestyle Prompts

If you need the AI to adopt a specific tone or attitude, you can further refine it using Freestyle Prompting in the Prompt tab.

🔹 How to Guide AI Speaking Style in Freestyle Prompting

  1. Navigate to the Prompt tab in the agent settings.

  2. Scroll down to Freestyle Prompting.

  3. Add an instruction on how the AI should sound.

Example Business-Related Speaking Style Prompt:
"Maintain a professional yet approachable tone. Speak in a confident and friendly manner, similar to a corporate customer service representative. Use an engaging and warm style when answering inquiries, and ensure clarity in responses."

💡 Tip: Use Freestyle Prompting for specific brand tone alignment—for example, an AI for financial advisory should sound authoritative, while an AI for customer engagement should sound upbeat and friendly.
