Overview
The Awaz.ai–WhatsApp integration via WATI lets you send automated, personalized WhatsApp messages after AI calls, or trigger Awaz.ai calls based on incoming WhatsApp messages. This setup uses Zapier as the automation bridge and requires no coding.
By the end of this guide, you’ll know how to:

Scenario A: Awaz.ai → WhatsApp (Wati)
Automatically send WhatsApp messages to leads after an AI call completes.
Step 1 – Set up Digital Influencers (Awaz.ai) as the Trigger
In Zapier, create a new Zap.
Choose Digital Influencers as the trigger app.
Select an event such as New Call or Agent Trigger.
Step 2 – Connect WATI as the Action
For the Action, search for WATI.
Choose Send Template Message
Connect your WATI account by pasting your API key and endpoint URL (from WATI’s API Docs).
Step 3 – Use Approved Templates
In WATI, create and submit a WhatsApp template for approval.
Only approved templates can be triggered via Zapier.
Map variables like name, phone, or custom fields you have to personalize messages.
Example Template in WATI:
Hi {{name}}, thanks for chatting earlier. Here are some details we promised: {{details}}.
Step 4 – Map Call Data in Zapier
Use Awaz.ai call fields (e.g., contact name, location, notes) as inputs for template placeholders.
Use Custom Fields and After-Call Variables in Awaz.ai to capture specific details during the call.
Map these values in Zapier so they pass cleanly into WATI.

Step 5 – Test and Enable
Run a test Zap to confirm the WhatsApp message is delivered.
Publish the Zap to automate follow-ups for every AI call.
Scenario B: WhatsApp (Wati) → Awaz.ai
Trigger Awaz.ai calls or updates when a WhatsApp message is received.
Step 1 – Configure Wati Webhooks or Zapier Trigger
In Zapier, choose WATI as the trigger app.
Select an event like New Incoming Message.
Step 2 – Connect Digital Influencers (Awaz.ai) as the Action
Choose Digital Influencers as the action app.
Select actions such as Make a Call or Add or Update Contact
Step 3 – Map Message Data
Parse the inbound WhatsApp content or phone number.
Map this to Awaz.ai’s call inputs so the agent has context.
Step 4 – Test and Launch
Send a test WhatsApp message.
Confirm Awaz.ai initiates the correct call or action.
Enable the Zap when verified.
