With this setup, you can:
Send SMS confirmations to clients
Notify your team about new calls
Trigger SMS alerts based on specific call events
Send dynamic follow-ups automatically
Step 1: Choose Your Trigger App
First, create a new Zap in Zapier.
Search for Digital Influencers — this is the Awaz module.
Select it as your Trigger App.
Step 2: Select the Trigger Event
Inside the Trigger Event section, you’ll see two main options:
🔹 Agent Trigger
This will fire the Zap when a specific condition happens during the call.
Agent Trigger: Will fire the scenario after a specific situation occurs during the call, you must configure a Zapier Integration trigger on the Actions > Integrations section.
To use this:
Go to Actions → Integrations inside Awaz.
Create a new integration.
Choose Zapier Trigger.
Define exactly when the trigger should fire (for example: “Appointment Scheduled” or “Lead Qualified”).
Save your configuration.
Once saved, every time the condition you described happens during a call, the Zap will automatically trigger.
Once saved, every time the condition you described happens during a call, the Zap will automatically trigger.
🔹 New Call
This trigger fires at the end of every call.
For this example, we’ll use New Call.
This is ideal when you want to:
Log every call
Send post-call follow-ups
Notify your team about all completed calls
Step 3: Add the Action App (Twilio)
Now, in the Action step of your Zap:
Search for Twilio.
Select it as your Action App.
Step 4: Choose the Action Event
Under Action Event, select:
➜ Send SMS
This tells Zapier to send a text message using Twilio.
Step 5: Connect Your Twilio Account
Click Sign in.
You’ll be prompted to enter:
Your Twilio Account SID
Your Auth Token
You can find both inside your Twilio dashboard.
After connecting successfully, continue to the configuration step.
Step 6: Configure Your SMS
Click Configure. You’ll now see three main fields:
1️⃣ From Number
The Twilio number that will send the SMS.
⚠️ Important: Make sure this number is SMS-enabled inside your Twilio account. Some numbers may be voice-only.
2️⃣ To Number
The recipient’s phone number.
You can either:
Enter a static number (e.g., your internal team phone)
Map a dynamic variable (e.g., the client’s phone number from the call data)
Using dynamic mapping allows personalized follow-ups.
3️⃣ Message
This is the body of your SMS.
You can:
Write static text
Insert dynamic fields from the call (name, outcome, date, summary, etc.)
Combine both
Example:
Hi {{First Name}}, thanks for your call! Your appointment is confirmed for {{Date}}.
Zapier allows you to insert data from the trigger step directly into this field.
After finishing all the required fields and connections, your Zap should look a bit like this:
Enhancing Your Zap (Recommended)
You’re not limited to a simple 2-step automation.
You can improve your workflow by adding:
✅ Filters (e.g., only send SMS if call outcome = “Appointment Scheduled”)
✅ Multiple SMS steps (client + internal notification)
✅ Delays (send reminder 24 hours later)
✅ CRM updates
✅ Slack or Email notifications
This allows you to create fully customized automation flows — without writing any code.
Example Use Case
A call ends with an appointment scheduled.
Your Zap can automatically:
✔ Send a confirmation SMS to the client
✔ Send a notification SMS to your team
✔ Update your CRM
✔ Log the call in a spreadsheet
All instantly, as soon as the call ends.
Quick Tips
Always test before publishing
Use filters to avoid unnecessary messages
Keep SMS messages short and clear
Double-check that your Twilio number supports SMS
Use dynamic fields to personalize messages
